Categorical Imperative

According to kant its immoral to cheat on a test because if everyone did it obviously wouldnt work. A categorical imperative is the idea that something applies to everybody and no one is excluded. he believes that actions should be categorical imperative to increase morality and for it to be good. But cheating on a test is not so that would be considered immoral.

Could there ever be a situation that cheating on a test could be immoral. What would happen if let’s say I cheated on the medical licensing exam and became a doctor and as a result I obtained a job at a hospital in which I treated and killed someone due to my malpractice, would my cheating here be immoral? or would we say that it was not? Can we or should we seperate the action from the result?
