State of Nature

For the most part i do agree with Hobbes state of nature theory. He talks about how a government of some sort is needed in a society. That being the reason so that there is control in a society. If there was no control there would be chaos. We would be at war with each other all the time. Even though we are at war now it is for many different reasons than society and human nature. There will allways be fighting, i believe it is part of our human nature to fight in some situations. But a government is deffinately needed.

    There is no doubt that government is necessary, the point that I made in my blog was that government is not forced on people but is just human nature. So I was thinking that his state of nature is not completely correct. His state of nature idea seemed to portray people staying as individuals if there is no government, but I think that people would naturally segway into groups, kind of being like an internal government.

    I agree. Humans tend to need “companionship” and like you said would build small groups where people were given different roles and this would be similar to us giving public officials government positions.
